Hi, my name is Huckleberry, but you can call me Huck! I am quite the affectionate guy who is probably the most laid back dog here at the shelter! I can be a tad bit shy in new surroundings, but I warm up relatively quick and then you can see how smart I am! I am affectionate, but I’m not the biggest fan of intrusive handling. I came to the shelter because I have a tendency of wandering off. Due to this, it is very important that I am leashed and supervised at all times when I am outside. I have been an outdoor dog most of my life, but I seem to have picked up house-training pretty well here at the shelter, but I may have a couple accidents while I am adjusting at home. I have been introduced to a few different dogs here at the shelter, and I just don’t care to be around other animals. Due to this, I do have to be the only animal in the home. I have been around kids ages 9 and up and have done great! Please make sure that they understand that I’m not really a dog that wants to be laid on or anything like that. Please do plenty of research on the Husky breed if you’ve never had one as we can be a bit challenging at times! Be my forever family?
