Hi, my name is Erling. I came to the shelter as a stray so not much is known about me. I tend to be a 'follow my nose' type of dog. I enjoy the company of people and the occasional petting, but tend to do my own thing on my own time. I should do well with supervised children ages 7 years and older. I am tolerant of childish behavior like constantly petting or hugging, but only for a short time. Children need to understand my boundaries and know when I'm becoming overwhelmed. Because I have a tendency to follow my nose and do my own thing I will need a place that is safe for me. It is recommended that I be properly contained when not supervised so I don't wander off into trouble. I have a very typical personality for my breed so doing research is recommended. I'm a great dog, but I do need the right type of family and home set up. Are you that family?
