Hello, my name is Abby! I came to the shelter because my owner could no longer care for me. I am a sweet girl with a lot of love to give, I'm just very shy at first! Though I am okay with being picked up and handled, I much prefer gentle pets on the head, so please go slowly with me so I can get to know you. Sometimes when you're petting me you'll hear me chattering quietly to you! I've been more laid back here at the shelter, but I will probably be more energetic and playful once I am home and know my surroundings. I have been around another rat before and did great, so it would be wonderful if I could go to a home with another female rat so I could have a friend. Please do research on rat care before adopting me, as rats are very intelligent pets who need lots of enrichment! Will you be my forever family?
