Hi, my name is Mercy! I came to the shelter because my owner could no longer care for me. When I first got to the shelter, I was a very shy girl. I have now been at the shelter for over 100 days and staff has learned that I love to go on walks! I am still working on leash training since I was more of an outdoor dog in my previous home, but I am not a very big girl, so most people would be able to easily walk me. Here at the shelter I do understand that when I’m taken outside, I should go potty right away so with some treats and positive reinforcement, I will likely catch on to potty training. I am such a sweet and gentle girl, so the volunteers that work with me think I would make an excellent inside dog to snuggle with you on the couch. I was around another dog in my previous home and did well, but I do not know how I feel about other animals. I am more on the shy side and need a little help becoming more confident, but definitely am ready to come home, love me forever?
