I came to the shelter because my family could no longer care for me. I am very shy at first and don't like being picked up and held. I do love to be pet and scratched. Children in the home should understand how to pick me up safely or understand how to leave me alone. If you let me climb onto your lap on my own terms, I will sit there purring all the time your petting me. I'm the perfect couch potato companion.
