I’m the shelter star and the one good thing about having been at the shelter for awhile is that staff has been able to learn a little more about me than usual. I was a little standoffish at first, but I’ve since learned this is the best temporary home I could have and really like people who let me walk all over them – I only mean that literally. I just want to be in your lap or have you carrying me around like a baby. It’s good to remember that I might not prefer this kind of attention until I’m used to my new home and new people, but do know that’s what I like to do with the people I love. I’m content to have a comfy chair near you as long as I can see you or watch the birds outside. I’m really good at letting staff trim all my nails even. I do believe I’d thrive in a home with older kids the most because I’m a little sensitive and don’t like all the activity and noise that kids sometimes bring. I like having conversations with my people and just like being involved in whatever my people are doing. I think my ideal home is a quieter home with just a couple people and not too many others coming and going, but in time I think I can adapt to most anything. You won’t be disappointed if you take me home, I can promise you that!
