Hi, my name is Hickory. I came to the shelter without a lot of information. I am very friendly and love to be pet. Most of the time I'm very relaxed and just calmly exploring my environment and watching the day's activities. I often want to be a part of the family's adventures and will often be underfoot. I like to read what your reading and watch what your watching. I purr almost the whole time I'm being pet and just love to sit on laps and relax. I also love to play but prefer to play with you. Fishing pole toys are the best so that you can move it and I can chase it. I also need plenty of things to climb and scratch, especially while you're away, so I don't get bored. I have been around a 3-year-old before and did well. If the child became too rough to my liking I would run away. I should do well with all children, but please be sure children allow me to get away when I want too. I like to play and be pet by children, but I don't like when children try to pick up or hug me. It is not known how I feel about dogs or other cats. If you have other pets at home, please be sure to introduce us properly and understand that it may take time for us to feel completely comfortable with each other. Will you be my forever home?
