Make a Memorial Donation
A beautiful way to express your love for the people or animals who have been lost, and to bring comfort to friends and family, is with a memorial gift to the Sioux Falls Area  Humane Society. A memorial gift is a touching way to forever honor the life of a person or pet who has passed on – while at the same time, it is the gift of life for hurting and homeless animals.

Memorial donations can be made with cash, check, or online. Please include a letter or note about who this memorial donation is honoring, or place in the memo line; we would love to know more about who you are making this donation in honor of.  We will send an acknowledgment of your donation sent to family, we can send that as long as you enclose an address where we can send that letter. Your donor contact information will be included so that the family may send you a thank you, but the amount of your donation will not be included. If you wish to remain anonymous to the family of who you are making a donation for, please note that with your donation.

Any person's memorial fund that receives donations will also be listed in our bi-yearly newsletter, mailed out in April and August. If you wish to be added to this newsletter list, please let our business office know.

Set up a Memorial Fund
If you wish to set up a memorial fund for your loved one for a memorial service or funeral in lieu of flowers, please contact our business office. Memorial fund donations can be used to purchase a leaf for the Tree of Life or donation toward general SFAHS fund by dedicating your donation.

A Tree of Life, a tree of love. Honor and remember those forever in your heart.  The Tree of Life is a tribute to beloved family, friends and four-legged companions who are no longer with us. The tree is located in our main adoption hallway and features leaves of Gold, Silver and Bronze.  With a donation of $500 , a leaf will be added to the tree indefinitely to honor the individual or pet.
