Hi there, my name is Chico! I am a panda hamster, which is a type of Syrian hamster! I came to the shelter because my owner could no longer care for me. For the most part, I like to spend my days snoozing and play all night! I am a typical hamster, meaning I love to burrow, run on my wheel, and run through toy tunnels. Like most hamsters, I should be kept by myself, as I don't really like other hamsters. I don't mind being pet and sniffing at your fingers, but I'm not a huge fan of being held and carried. Since I'm young, I will be able to be trained more with an owner who is willing to work on my handling. I should do well with kids of all ages as long as they understand not to grab me or squeeze me, I will give a little hiss if I am not wanting to be touched.
