**Not a Barkelor Contestant
I’m pretty shy but I’m a really friendly boy. My original home wasn’t an ideal situation and didn’t allow me to learn all the proper socialization behaviors while I was very young. I was adopted and came back because I showed some anxiety in the home when alone which led to being destructive. I have lived with other dogs before and done well and I did really well with the kids in my last home. I have been around livestock and always chased them. I need to be in a secure fenced in yard or on a leash if outside the fence due to my shyness. I need an owner who has the patience and time to help me come out of my shell. At the shelter, I showed some habits typical of a dog who is not accustomed to being indoors, such as counter surfing and trash digging. This is likely why I was destructive in my last home. I chewed up some glasses, some sheetrock, and whatever else I could find if left unsupervised. I am still a puppy so the chewing behaviors could lessen as I get older. My new family will need to have a home that is set up to keep me safe. They will also need a sense of humor as they help me learn good manners for being indoors. I do best with children who are at least 9 years of age because of how unsure I am in social situations. Children will need to understand how to be calm and gentle with me.
